The idea of Badger Truck Pullers Association came to be beginning in the fall of 1996 when Ron Arndt and a few other local truck pullers in the surrounding area saw a need to develop unified rules for truck pulling. These pullers include Russ Schuette, Glen & Greg Koeppel and Mike & Todd Derr. Given that several of the area fairs and other local pulls all had their own sets of rules that varied, it made it difficult for all the trucks to comply with the variety of rules so that they could pull in the Southern part of the state. Many events expressed interest in hiring a group to hire for the pull, which is where BTPA stepped in. The following summer, BTPA became incorporated. Since the beginning the club has grown to include 3 classes and traveling all over the southern part of the state including working alongside other truck and tractor pulling clubs to put on an amazing family friendly show. We were able to create the first sanctioned diesel class in the state.

In addition to our 4 classes we also help to organize classes for local street stock classes at many of the events.

Each fall, we take the time to honor our members and volunteers during BTPA Awards Banquet, which is a great time. During the banquet donations are accepted to donate to a local charity. The Glenn Koeppel Scholarship Fund was created and donates a $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior of our local high schools each year.
